A small forest cottage that opens out into two furnished rooms and closes back into a house you can carry by the handle. Two gnomes, a lion, an elephant, a giraffe and a tree travel with it, so the scene is complete out of the box.

Open for Play, Close for the Shelf
The house is a single piece. The two halves open out to reveal the rooms, and close back together into the cottage — roof on top, handle free.
Two rooms, already furnished
Left half: a dining room with a table, two chairs, a wall shelf and a framed picture. Right half: a kitchen with a stove, a cupboard of dishes and open shelving. Furniture and detail are printed into the panels, so the rooms are dressed without loose parts.
A cottage with a handle
Closed, the two halves meet to form a red cottage: blue roof, arched door, lanterns on the walls and a printed picket fence along the base. The fence, garden and tree on the wall are artwork, not separate pieces.

What Ships With the House
Six loose pieces come with the house. Each is cut from the same plywood, printed with the same water-based inks as the walls, and stands up on its own during play.

Three Ways the Story Starts
The house is small enough for a table and complete enough for a whole scene. Play starts as soon as it is open.

The lion, elephant and giraffe stand in the doorway and along the front step, with the tree beside the house.
